Client Money Protection (CMP) is a government-approved scheme designed to safeguard the money that letting and estate agents hold on behalf of their clients — such as tenant deposits and rental payments.

At KMD (London) Ltd, we are proud members of a CMP scheme. This means any money you entrust to us is fully protected in line with current legal requirements, giving both landlords and tenants peace of mind.

By law, all UK letting agents must belong to a client money protection scheme. This protection ensures that if an agent were to misuse or mishandle client funds, landlords and tenants could file a compensation claim through the scheme. Once the claim is verified, CMP will reimburse the affected party and take steps to recover the money from the agent involved.
